New technology called Aereo, and many television broadcasters are taking a lot of heat recently. Aereo technology allows television viewers to skip ads during a show they are watching. Dish network even enabled its auto-hop feature to allow its customers to skip ads. Why all the fuss? Many companies and advertisers complained saying that skipping their ads is breaking the contracts between the television company and themselves. It costs a boat load of money to air an ad, yet what is the point if they are skipped. Now, a long and drought war is bound to happen between network companies and its advertisers. Its not over yet, the company called Aereo has a law suit against them from Fox, PBS, and Univision channels. Aereo would allow consumers to watch and record broadcast TV online by hooking up a small antenna to an Internet connection. The case is to be held sometime in the near future.
