On March 31,2011; Sony and Geohot have reached an agreement. The story behind this case was that George Hotz( GeoHot creator) created a program to that allows Sony PS3 users the ability to hack their console. GeoHot allowed PS3 users to use Mods in the game. This first got reported on "Call of Duty" and then many more online games sent in their reports. The Mod gives the player an unfair advantage over other players. Mods on both Xbox 360 and PS3 are illegal and instant ban. The biggest concern was that GeoHot enabled users to create and play pirated games instead of paying up to $60 for a new one. George Hotz claimed that he didn't do anything wrong or intended for people to abuse GeoHot. Due to Sony's actions, George set up an organization to boycott Sony products. So far, there are many followers following George and believe that he is an innocent man that had no intention that his programing will cause a catastrophe.
